Hello Poppins is operated by Poppins Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17258984). We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration C1971628).
This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are.
When you use Hello Poppins on WhatsApp, we collect and store:
We do not collect your name, email address, physical address, or any payment information.
We process your data under legitimate interest and, for health-related data, under explicit consent given when you share health information with us via WhatsApp.
Your data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with any other organisation.
Your data is processed by: Poppins Digital Ltd (to operate the service); Anthropic, Groq, OpenAI (to generate responses — they do not retain data for training); Railway (hosting); Meta/WhatsApp (messaging platform).
We retain your data for as long as you use the service. Acute events are automatically deactivated after a period of inactivity. Chronic conditions, allergies, and milestones are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
Send a message on WhatsApp saying “delete my data”. You’ll be asked to confirm by typing your phone number. Once confirmed, all data is permanently deleted — immediately and irreversibly.
Hello Poppins processes information about children provided by their parents or legal guardians. We do not communicate directly with children.
Your data is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. All communications use TLS encryption. Access to the database is restricted to the service operator.
Hello Poppins is not a medical service. It provides parenting information based on trusted UK sources (NHS, NICE, RCPCH, Cochrane). It does not diagnose conditions or replace professional medical advice.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes.
